Julia is the character personifying myself. She is clueless, obsessive, forgetful, sarcastic and a bit insane- like most other characters in ZOMG!. As the author, Julia gets very upset when one of the characters decides to change their appearance. Like, oh, say, Rebecca cutting her hair. Julia loves anime, especially Fullmetal Alchemist, Azumanga Daioh, Hayate no Gotoku and Ouran High School Host Club. She also loves medical shows, like House, MD and Scrubs, and Discovery Health Channel. Julia is part American, part Brazilian, part German. She can speak English and Portuguese fluently, and knows a bit of German and Japanese.
Becca is the hyper, energetic girl who first introduced me to the wonderful world of otakus. She is fond of Kingdom Hearts, loves to play DDR, and has her own long list of Yaoi pairings, most of which scare the hell out of her friends. She also knows who to act adorable and overflow with cuteness, but can also be a corrupt pervert when she wants to. We met when Becca ran up to her and yelled "HI!" at the top of her lungs, even though we were complete strangers. Becca eventually introduced me to all her other friends.
Victoria, also known as Tori, is one of my closest friends, but you wouldn't tell just from reading this comic. Tori is insane. Really. But in a good way. She has the habit of shouting out random things, but only among friends; With strangers, she is very shy. So we match perfectly. Tori is obsessed with Phoenix Wright, Trauma Center, House, MD (even though she's only watched 2 or 3 episodes, courtesy of me), and Fullmetal Alchemist. We tend to have the same tastes in media... Also, Tori speaks French. She has a ton of nicknames. (lots of them also courtesy of me). Tori is one of my primary sources of inspiration for writing crack.
Seiya (that's not her real name, BTW) is also a very close friend of mine. She's very quiet, most of the time. That's one of the reasons I don't know too much about her, but I do know some stuff, like, for instance, she loves One Piece, Zombie Loan and Honey and Clover. She draws - a lot - and in fact we're working on a collaboration comic right now. If some random person were to place a label on her, it would most likely be "emo", but knowing her as I do, I can assure you she's not emo. Stereotypes are evil anyway. At a first glance, she's a bit creepy, but she's a great friend.
Also known as Wing, Kat is a friend that falls under a weird category under my friends. I really like her, and I enjoy her company, but she scares me. Not because she's creepy, or anything, in fact, she can be quite cute when she wants to. But those are the key words. She's the yaoi fangirl among us, and she never ceases to disturb me with her pairings. She also likes the Goth-Loli style. And she draws. REALLY well. I'm not quite sure what goes through her head most of the time, but I enjoy her company, even if she does melt my brain from time to time.
